Note: Parking will not be validated. Automobile parking is available in the public parking lot at the Kakuhihewa Building; the main parking entrance is at the intersection of Ulu'Ohi'a and Haumea Streets.

Attendees will become familiar with and others will be able to get a better understanding of: :
SAMHSA Dimensions of Wellness Overview
Review of helping skills with focus on listening and attending
Occupational and Financial wellness with relation to ASAM Dimensions
Familiarity with career counseling tools
Familiarity with local resources and related training opportunities
Demonstrate ability to conceptualize a case with respect to career dynamics and "goodness of fit"
Facilitator:
"Dave" Sprouse is a Primary Counselor, Ku Aloha Ola Mau where he facilitates group in a range of topics including tobacco cessation, integrated wellness and interruptions in substance use. Dave manages a caseload of 50 Haumana delivering counseling with emphasis in total wellness and respect to ASAM dimensions. Dave holds dual masters degrees in Adult Education and Counseling Psychology. Dave is certified in substance abuse counseling and career counseling and is a "Freedom From Smoking" Facilitator in conjunction with American Lung Association.
Target Audience:
Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC), Certified Prevention Specialists (CPS), and applicants; those with other ADAD professional credentials; and anyone involved in the human services field.
