Overview:
As antidepressants became more commonly prescribed for anxiety and depression, there articles and reports of patients' suicidal thoughts and actions becoming more alarming to medical physicians and psychiatrists. In this training we will explore a some harmful medications/drugs that may be the cause for high risk suicide ideations that lead to suicide. This topic will cover some prescribed medications such antidepressants and anti-anxiety to include abuse of illicit drugs with a person with a mental health disorder. This training will also provide information on proper use of medications and the hazards of drug abuse.
