Ethics in Prevention for Maui County Providers

This free, two-day virtual training will cover the topic of ethics in the substance misuse prevention field. The training will cover key terminology, the six principles in the Prevention Code of Ethics, and a decision-making process to use when faced with an ethical dilemma.

Date/Time: Tuesday, September 14th and September 21st, from 9:00AM - 12:00PM HST.

Location: Zoom.

Cost: Free

Certificate: This course is approved by the Dept. of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division for 6.0 hours for the Ethics in Prevention course requirement for the Certified Prevention Specialist credential.

Target Audience: This training is specifically for providers living in Maui County. Youth-serving organizations, school counselors and other school personnel, youth after-school and other prevention-related programs, and others working in substance misuse prevention. Professionals in the prevention and treatment field who are interested in obtaining the Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) credential.
